I just brought a new laptop and it runs sims 4 perfectly well just the problem is I wanna download cc but I’m afraid that I’ll make my laptop catch a virus ,

However I do have protection ( Norton ) but can someone tell me if it’s a good protection and and you also let me know a safe way to download and safe websites.

Make sure to use adblock extensions on whatever browser you use.

Be wary of the sites you visit. Do some research on the site itself. Has anyone talked about this site?
Does it hold a good reputation? Etc. Once you're done with cc shopping, make sure to scan the files you downloaded with whatever protection service you use. And that's pretty much all there is to it!

 I use Ad Blocker Ultimate for Firefox but on some sites I do have to disable it because it won't let me through to the page if I have it turned on, so you do need a decent program running in the background that will catch anything that might try to slip through. If you're looking for good antivirus software that can actually do its job (and it's free!) I'd suggest installing Malwarebytes, and I also have Avast for antivirus software and it's been really good! Also after I shop for CC, I always run CCleaner and get rid of all the tracking cookies and potential spyware that I pick up and it deletes all your temporary files out of your browser. Hope that helps! 

Edit: To answer your other question, the SimsResource is a great place to get CC and you absolutely will not get viruses from there (I never have) but in my personal experience it's a must that you have adblock otherwise it's a laggy nightmare. I've recently started downloading from SimsDom and it seems to be good as well, but it's another one that requires a good adblock extension. I also get my CC off Sssvitlans' site on Tumblr, and if you're looking for great builds that come with the CC included to cut down on your shopping time (even though people aren't supposed to do that, I know) you might want to hit up Frau Engel on her blogspot page!
