MOD Conflict Detector
« on: June 13, 2017, 06:04:11 pm »
So I downloaded the Mod conflict detector and at first I thought it was working until I noticed it was removing all of my RAR files. Nothing was wrong with these files ever and when I wen to edit one of my sims my CAS mode was messing up. I wasnt able to click anything couldnt even leave i had to restart my computer to get out of it. Can someone reference somwthing else to help me find bad cc, because made me game worse.

your not supposed to have any rar files in your game you have to get something like 7-zip or rar-zip to extract that type of file. That is what is probably causing your game not to work.

The only files that should be in your mods folder are scripts and packages I believe. It's best to not have your mods folder as the target for your downloads. Keep files somewhere else while cc shopping then filter them to packages and THEN put them in your mods folder. Mod conflict detector is actually doing its job by removing non-package/script files from your mods folder.

it's also okay to have folders in your mods folder, but anything other than that will begin to ruin your game.

I saw the post by Xmira yesterday listing all of the programs to help you with your CC/organize and get rid of duplicates. Today I'm looking all over for it and can't remember for the life of me category it is in. If someone could direct me to what category she listed them I would appreciate it. Thank you  :D
