Move Mods folder to external drive? (MACBOOK PRO)

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knows how to move the mods folder to the external drive. I think I'd have to create a redirect on the mac? I saw some articles about making the redirect link but it wasn't specific to the sims so I was just getting confused 😩
