HELP ME! / Merging CC

Hey so this isn't an issue (for now) but I have only about 112 gigs of cc in my mods folder. I was wondering if its smart to merge hair bc I read somewhere a long time ago that you shouldnt merge over (A specific amount that I can't seem to remember rn) and 19 LeahLilith hairs alone is about (900+ mb) Is it safe to merge large files? Like I'm good bc my game is still smooth af, but I'm just wondering bc I still dl like close to 10 gigs a day of CC
