HELP ME! / cc not showing up in gameplay.

ive done everything at this point, but for some reason my cc wont show up during gameplay. My sims will show the cc on the picture thing on the left side of the screen wherre it tells wht kind of mood the sim is in. but, actual game play none of my cc shows. if i download hair, my sim will be baldhead during gameplay however the hair will show up in CAS. can someone help??????
