HELP ME! / Re: Finding specific hair

+1 to tray importer.  Just save a sim with the hair to your library and look at the CC list in Sims 4 Tray Importer.

HELP ME! / Re: My game won't open at all!
« on: January 05, 2018, 07:26:13 pm »
99% of the time this is caused by Sims 3 CC in your game.  Run Mod conflict Detector and check for any Sims 3 Content.  If you don't have any in there try running the game without any mods/cc.  If the game starts it tells you that CC/Mods are causing the issue.  If it is CC there is really no easy fix.  Start by removing mods from your directory.  Mod conflict detector will work for this.  Anything move anything showing as a game modification in Mod conflict detector outside of your mods folder.  Try the game again.  If it works look at the mods you removed and check for new updates for them since the last patch.  Google works well for this.  Just search for the mod name. Slowly start putting mods back into your game a few at a time and test the game to make sure its working.  If its CC causing an issue its more of a pain.  The 50/50 method is the easiest way to do it. Remove all CC and put half back in the game and test.  If the problem happens take half of those mods back out  and so on and so on until you can pinpoint the CC causing the issue.

HELP ME! / Re: Jordans CC: They Aint Showing Sis....

If the batch fix failed to fix them they are automatically taken out of your mods directory.  Go to Documents> Sims 4 Studio> Bath Fixes> Check the folders for the date you did the batch fixes and look in the failed folder for any CC.  If its in there you can just copy it back into your Mods folder.  You can try batch fixing the files again but it may fail again.

HELP ME! / Re: CAS cc missing ingame

Did you get a message that anything failed during the batch fix?  If anything fails to be batched it will be automatically removed from your game by Sims 4 Studio.  Check the Sims 4 Studio directory in your documents folder and go to batch fixes and look in the folder there for the batch fixes you did and check the failed folder.  If there is CC in there you can just copy it back into your Mods folder.

Do you use mods/cc?  Usually this is caused by some Sims 3 Content being in your game.  Have you tried removing all your mods/cc and starting the game?  Try running Mod conflict detector and look for any Sims 3 CC.  If its in there remove it and the game should start.  You can also try repairing the game if its not an issue like that or a clean documents folder.  Basically let the Sims 4 create new config files.  Move your Sims 4 directory out of the Electronic arts folder in your Documents folder then start the game.  It will create a new directory.  Once that is done copy your Custom Music, Recorded Videos, Saves, Screenshots and Tray folders into the new directory.  If the game works after that then copy your mods folder back in.

HELP ME! / Re: Road to Fame mod troubles
« on: January 03, 2018, 12:37:24 am »
Did you extract the zip file directly into your Mods folder?  It needs to be in its own separate folder not within other folders.  Also make sure you have script mods enabled within the game options.  If you did that and its still having mesh issues try downloading the mod again.  Maybe the download was corrupted.

Sounds like a mod issue.  If road to fame is based of the latest patch it could cause issues in your game.  Try removing that first.  I cant see a CAS background causing a problem.  If that doesn't work try running Mod conflict detector if you have it and look for anything that shows as a game modification.  Remove all game modifications from your game and test to see if it works.  If it works slowly start putting the mods back into your game (a few at a time) until the problem occurs again.  That way you will be able to pinpoint what is causing the issue.

HELP ME! / Re: Glitches
« on: January 03, 2018, 12:19:51 am »
Depends on what you classify a glitch.  If you are going to download CC for your game do it in moderation.  Download a few items and test them in your game.  Also run the batch fixes from Sims 4 Studio after you install them and you should be remotely glitch free.  If you don't want to have to worry about broken mods etc after every patch stick to CAS CC as this seems to break the least.  Mods usually have to be updated after each patch and sometime CC Furniture gets broken after patches but Sims 4 Studio is usually pretty quick to update and have fixes.  Also be sure to organize your CC in folders within your Mods directory.  This will help greatly to avoid headaches if problems do happen.

Here's an example of how I have my mods folder set up.

You can set yours up however you want this is just an example of what works for me.  I keep my Buy Mode, Build Mode and CAS separate as well as Mods, Poses etc.  and I have different folders within those to separate them even further ie; CAS> Clothing , Makeup, Skins etc.  If you download mods always keep them in a separate folder so it will be easy to locate them to update after a patch.  The check folder is where I put CC I have just downloaded to test in the game before it goes into its corresponding folder.

Hope this was helpful :)

Have you tried clearing your cache?  Also try restarting Origin and possibly your computer.

Make sure you turn on custom content and script mods in the game options.

HELP ME! / Re: REPAIR GAME ISSUE, HELP!

The repair option should always be there in Origin.  It's a way of fixing the game if files have been corrupted/deleted etc.

HELP ME! / Re: Cant play sim
« on: December 31, 2017, 07:16:11 pm »
I had the same issue.  I updated all my mods and deleted some of the ones that hadn't been updated since the patch.  I used Mod Conflict detector to show what mods I had installed in my CC directories.  What ended up being my problem was that I had installed a mod to the wrong directory by mistake so i missed it when updating.  Just look for any Game modifications and check to see that they are up to date.  Also when checking pay attention to the last time they were updated.  Having the newest version of a mod doesn't mean its compatible with the newest patch.  Read comments under a mod and usually you can find out if the mod is broken or not.  Many mods that haven't been updated still work fine but the ones that haven't and are broken will usually have comments posted about it.

Also check this link.  Many of the mods that are still broken are listed there.  Also check the responses after it.

HELP ME! / Re: CAS NUDITY ISSUE!!

Forgot to mention the **** in CAS mod may also show up in the Sims Tray Importer so keep an eye out for that and don't delete it.  The clothing should be obvious though hopefully.

Take the sim and save to the gallery without any clothing on.  The default cc clothing that is showing will still be there obviously.  Make sure to do this for every outfit and also make sure they have no CC makeup, hair skin overlay etc. on.  Then run Sims 4 Tray importer and look at your sim you just saved to the gallery.  The only CC that shows up should be the clothing that they are wearing by default when naked.  Delete them from your mods directory and it should fix the problem.
